The Pointe Promo Shoot

It's kind of a long story, but last summer I met Caroline, who is dating my cousin John. I immediately fell in love with her, and as we chatted, I found out that she is an extremely talented wedding florist. She owns Bloom House, and is based out of Tulsa. We decided we wanted to do a fun shoot together at the first opportunity.

Cue busy season. I'm scrolling through Facebook and stumble across a place called The Pointe, which is a gorgeous new venue nestled on the bank of Lake Eufaula just outside of McAlester, OK. There are tons of barn venues around, but this one had beautiful white walls, and they were still in the middle of construction. I sent a middle of the night email to the owner, Nikki Luna, and introduced myself and mentioned that I'd love to shoot there and that I had a florist in mind that I wanted to collaborate with. Hank and I are both from the southeastern part of Oklahoma, so nothing sounded more fun to me than going "home" to shoot. Nikki immediately messaged me back and said she would love to collaborate and get some good promo images for her venue.

Things moved pretty quickly after that and Nikki found the most amazing model, hair and makeup artist, cake baker, and table design team. I contacted my friend Lexi who was traveling overseas at the time to do our stationary. We ended up with an absolute dream team, and I'm thrilled with how this shoot turned out. I'm so happy I met everyone involved and am seriously blown away by their talents. This shoot was recently featured on Swooned, and you can check out that feature here.

PS....John proposed to Caroline this past weekend and I cry happy tears every time I think about it. I could not imagine anyone more perfect for him and our crazy family. <3 <3

Kristen | Tulsa Gilcrease Museum Bridals

Kristen and Gabe recently tied the knot, and I'm finally able to share her bridal photos! We shot them in November, and it was 87 degrees that day. I could not believe it. The trees seemed to turn late this year, so we caught the absolute best foliage of the year and I am so so pleased with the colors and how they turned out. Kristen's custom dress with the gorgeous sleeves was absolutely perfect and Makeup and Hair by Drea did a fantastic job glamming her up as always.

We shot these at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, a favorite spot of mine. The light and location were absolutely dreamy.
