Simply living

I am reaching the end of my third week in New York. Our apartment is finally (almost) unpacked. The new is wearing off and I am finally settled into a routine. Working from home is lonely sometimes but I am doing my best to get out and explore. Hank began classes at FCI today. He came home tired but excited. He brought home books I have no interest in reading, but I do like to critique the photos. Oh, and drool. They make me drool for sure.

Henry David Thoreau once said "As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler; solitude will not be solitude, poverty will not be poverty, nor weakness weakness.” This really sums up how I feel right now. We don't have many friends in New York, but I don't feel lonely. I'm just enjoying my simple life on my simple street in my tiny little apartment.

There is a beautiful old church on the corner and I spotted this little gem while walking a few days ago.
